Your blog is great. You always have really good content (and I hate to sound like i'm advertising), but maybe you should try a teeny web app I wrote called blogtrog CodeWindow. Then you can stop pasting images of the code.

I kind of like how you post images, it keeps all the syntax highlighting intact so it's easier to read. Web based code highlighting systems will never be as good as an IDE, they simply don't have all the contextual details available.

I also think you should not be using images. The code cannot be indexed for search, it requires more network resources (think mobile clients) and quality is lost when changing size (think mobile clients and the visually impaired).

You could use an open source syntax highlighter:

http://code.google.com/p/syntaxhighlighter/

It is nice since it will render as normal text if no javascript is found on the client.

Check out Scott Hanselman's post on it:

(I hate it that we've taken this off the post's original topic...) I've tried a bunch of other syntax highlighting solutions on my own blog, and it seems they all have various problems or don't look correct when posted up to blogger. That's why I wrote BlogTrog CodeWindow. It includes the highlighted text for blogs or folks with no javascript, and then for the rest, they get the fancy "Code Window" with the ability to get the plain text and print.

If you can get the WLW plug-ins to work properly with your blog, that would probably be easier, although your readers won't be able to copy/paste in most cases. Actual "Copy to Clipboard" functionality doesn't work very reliably these days. :-( But at least there's a plain text option.
