RssBandit Improvemnts
I just noticed something odd, I've RssBandit open and working for the last day or two, and the memory consumtion is on 40Mb, (it was 30 when I started this post :-) ). This is somewhat amazing, since I'm used to it being in the order of 80Mb - 120Mb, the peak memory usage is 108Mb. I wonder how they managed to reduce it. I just finished reading the current batch of posts, and it returned to 27Mb again.
On the one hand having an application on basically rest mode using that much memory seems wasteful, but I think it's mostly UI and holding all the parsed feeds in memory. No to mention IE interop and the like. Minimizing it take the working set size to just below 4Mb, which is good enough for me until I would need it again.
On other news, when I left VS.Net open this long, it started to take 50% of the CPU time for no reason that I could see, and I'd to kill it.
